May 2025 update

I will soon be traveling to Norway to lay my mother to rest in Bragernes Cemetery in Drammen, alongside her parents and brother. Although she lived in New York for 64 years, she always considered herself entirely Norwegian and wished to return home. We are very happy that her wishes will be realized.

I have submitted an application for a publishing grant through Norway’s Resistance Museum to support the publication of The Search for Thor. The manuscript has also been sent to several Norwegian publishers, and I now wait for their responses with the hope that one will find the project compelling and worthy of publication.

Yesterday I found a photograph of Thor that I had never seen before - dated 1937 - showing Thor and his brother Sverre, their mother Hilda and Sverre’s wife, Aase, my grandparents.
