Aug 2 Last research push + memoir chapters

I just completed one of the last few research tasks on my to-do lists this summer. I went back to the National Library, to read these 7 books that I had ordered pulled from their stacks.

Next week I hope to revisit the Hjemmefrontmuseet (Norwegian Resistance Museum) to see if there any last-minute interesting finds in their archives. I am now writing the last chapter - of Thor’s move to Hammerfest in December of 1940. Because there are many disparate details in this section (ship bombings, hiking trips, marriage proposals, and ultimately Thor’s death) this chapter is more complex and complicated to write. I have a lot of documents and photographs for this section so this chapter will be the longest and might result and a sub-chapter or two. Here is the current outline:

I have another 20 days in Oslo and it is my goal to have the working draft completed at that time. Wish me luck and I will post again when I get that far.
