Summer 2022

I leave for Europe in 5 days.

The first part of the trip will be in Paris, where I will attend the Paris Writers Retreat https://www.pariswritersretreat.com/schedule.html and hopefully will be challenged and encouraged to begin writing this book on Thor.

Part 2 of the trip will be spending time in Berlin - visiting my daughter who lives there - and eating enough doner kebabs to keep me happy.

Part 3 of the summer will be living in Oslo, visiting the new art museums: National Museum https://www.nasjonalmuseet.no/en/visit/locations/the-national-museum/; Munch Museum https://www.munchmuseet.no/en/ and spending time in the national archives researching more detailed information about Thor and possibly his role in the gold transport and the Norwegian resistance. Finally, after Oslo, I will be working on writing while at my artist’s residency at the Atelier Austmarka https://www.atelier-austmarka.com/ in southeast Norway. I was supposed to attend in 2020 which of course did not happen due to the pandemic.
